round one i play an esper deck. g1 he mulls twice and gets manascrewed on an island and a tower i go sorcerer into sorcerer into elspeth. g2 he has slasher into gargoyle while i have knight into squire + squire. he doesn't have anything after that and i take it home with excom, gleam, and might backup.
round two was a no-show.
round three i play a grixis deck. g1 he has mana cylix into strix into talons while i go sorcerer into battlemage. i silence the strix on his second attack and he plays grixis battlemage. i have squire and bash. he cycles submersion, i bash and he chumps and loots, discarding visions. he has fire-field ogre. i attack with an exalted guy and give it flying. he bashes and has another strix. i have another sorcerer and attack with squire. he blocks with strix and i trample. he bashes again and taps out for rannet. i attack with everything and might for lethal. g2 i have a nuts hand/draw. i go sorcerer while he has screecher. i have guardians then benediction. he has a strix and i follow with a bodyguard. please note that i have curved out with exalted cards. he has zombie outlander and have squire and attack with bodyguard like a durp. he has another strix so i excom a strix and bash with the flying squire. he replays strix and i follow with elspeth and make a token, intending to get one guy through and gleam ftw. he drags down squire and then drops cloudheath. he attacks and i have ambusher to outnumber him for the concession.

Nice draft, ridiculous opens too. I might have considered a few things differently.
p7- I'd have taken the archers pick 7 over the duelist, unless you go predominantly UW this guy isn't as strong as you want him down early. The archers is much easier to cast and I think might have wound up in the final deck.
p17- I take the bant charm, no question.
p31- The Giltspire Avenger is just crazy in a race. He's tougher to cast but you have a whole pack left of conflux to get some fixing.

thanks for the comment. i agree with p7. even that early, it looked like i'd lean gw rather than uw. also agree with p17. it was one i agonized over for a while, but definitely wrong. i considered avenger, but decided to forgo it due to lack of experience with it and mana requirements. i'll definitely give it a go if i get the right opportunity in the future.
