round one i play an esper deck. g1 i get a good start and roll him; i side in naturalize. g2 i stumble on mana a bit and he has multiple strixes and gargoyles to hold me off until he got his sharding sphinx online. g3 he mulled into oblivion and i curved out into thoctar for the concession.

round two i play a jund deck that had 3 sprays, a bolt, and a cap at minimum. g1 i just keep dumping creatures out and they all die until i get a mosstodon to stick. he has minimal board and i bash for a little until he drops a stinger, i think. i swing and he roars it, so we draw-go for a bit. he has vein drinker and i drop weaver. he chumps on my attack and i eventually get some board presence and take it. g2 he doesn't have all his removal and i get in for some damage early. he has a stinger, deathraiders, cultist and iguanar. he gets in some damage but i kiss, get out weaver, and charm back the kiss. i decline to block deathraiders when he attacks. i draw thunder and attack, intending to off the iguanar if he blocks. he lets through and i drop something to chump. he taps out for cavern thoctar on his turn and i drop squire and attack on mine. he passes without pinging it and i'm ecstatic, although thinking back i'm not quite sure if cultist is there at this point. he declines to block it so i thunder his face for 3 and the win.

round three i play an insane jund deck. both games i stumble on mana and he's playing a deck with two thrinax, two stinger, two blightening, gharial, and iguanar. both games when i'd start to stabilize, he'd drop a huge threat. he had spearbreaker and archdemon g1 and spearbreaker g2.
