Sealed 3 - Shadowmoor PE


so, i have an awesome pool and build an awesome deck and then? i don't hit submit. :frowntown:

round one i play a bg deck and win on the back of t1 rhys and a gambit. g2 i end up trying to watch the video i saved to quickly build the deck and windows crashed. i didn't get restarted in time to submit my deck and i lost this time, but not too badly. g3 i have to mull but have an awesome hand and all my opponent can do is complain about how lucky i am and how good my draws are. he ends up corrupting my liege, but my silkbind and runed air force whittle him down while ghastbark holds the ground.

round two i get trounced by a 1900 playing a really nice deck with silkbind, seedcradle, watchwing, ascension, and shield. he would be in 2nd place next time i looked.

round three i play a gr deck and g1 i end up going scuttlemutt, wretch, woeleecher, b cohort and just stall the ground and kill him with silkbind beats and gaining 2 life a turn. g2 i go druid, w cohort, liege, morselhoarder and it comes close but he doesn't draw much relevant and i snare his duo on his alpha strike, preventing his win and ensuring mine. i'm now in 12th.

round four i played against a rb deck. g1 i get out prismatic omen and just wreck him with dumb multicolored tricks. g2 i start off with rhys and he responds with lancer. then he has redcap to off rhys. i probably made a mistake by not casting turn to mist on it and just suiting up with tower above the next turn. what i did was make a token and cast liege. trading token for the persisted redcap. then i dropped duo and morselhoarder. he had tatterkite, dusk urchins, and sickleripper the next couple turns. cast turn to mist on the lancer and then tower above the morselhoarder to kill it. he blocks urchins, sickleripper, and lancer on it to kill it and draws some cards. he has butcher and stuff, but my ghastbark gives duo vigilance and he can't kill me fast enough with just the tatterkite. this guy was in 1st place, which could only be good for me. now in 6th; dropped him to 8th (sorry dude).

round five i play a br deck. g1 i get him low but start drawing nothing but lands. he changes to a mono u configuration and i have him to 6 and he drops oona. i think tower above's the only thing that could help me here and i just get milled out.

round six i play a ug deck and it goes to three, but i don't draw any of my outs to his ascension. :/

build is wrong, 1 scarecrow goes in for hollowsage.

unsure of every opponent. i know one was Wgu, and i lost in the finals to a br deck.

blown out round one by an insane gr deck with howl, double elsewhere flask, blight, and a bunch of solid creatures.

Draft 111 - SSS


round one i play a gw deck. i go druid into g cohort and he responds with spriggan. i drop a medic and he has w cohort. i drop silkbind and that's about it. g2 i get a medicine runner into wildslayer elves while he has silkbind. my witch nullifies it, though and even his ascensioned spriggan doesn't help much.

round two i play a uwr deck with elite, marauders, tyrant. g1 he gets out his big stuff and i'm just drawing land. g2 i go witch, druid and he's screwed and concedes quickly. g3 i don't draw much and hit him with a mass calcify but he has persist creatures and a key second medic gets hit by repel intruders.

Draft 110 - LLM


round one played against a ridiculous uw faerie/merfolk deck. won g1 because he couldn't keep up with his crippling start of mothdust, spellstutter, spellstutter being stuck on 3 land. g2 he has a hero and i can't deal with it. g3 i get off growth, but he drops sygg and i can't do anything.

Draft 109 - LLM

wasn't super happy with this, but it was definitely capable of exploding for the win. i think i got fairly lucky a few times.



r1; bw - g1 he goes deeptread and i respond with banneret. he drops sage of fables and i have war-spike. he drops ghostly changeling and i have a soulbright, swinging with changeling. he wills a swamp and drops merrow commerce and swings with his. i giant's ire and he has prickly boggart and wills my forest. i go to drop hearthcage using soulbright's ability and he inversions it :frowntown:. then he drops merfolk banneret and surgespanner, swinging in with islandwalkers. i get hearthcage down but i'm too low to come back. g2 i have to mull and he has prickly while i drop soulbright. he has nothing and i have pathblazer. he has latchkey and respond with war-spike. he drops nevermaker on his turn. he drops sage and wills my forest and i use soulbright to get out hearthcage. he double-blocks my warspike so i sac elementals to save it and trample over. he bounces it to my library, inversions my soulbright, then drops ghostly. he chumps and i'm looking at my last turn. i drop war-spike and pass. he aethersnipes it back and i'm worried until i do the math. i cast war-spike precombat, and attack in with hearthcage and pathblazer. he blocks snipe on giant and i evoke briarhorn then sac it and war-spike to pathblazer for the win. g3 he drops banneret and i respond with fertile ground. then he drops ghostly and i respond with banneret and torchrunner. he has commerce and i drop axegrinder. next turn he has nothing but palls my giant. i then lash out his ghostly and drop pathblazer. he drops nevermaker and i mulldrifter. he has surgespanner while i drop leaf gilder then daggerdare. he has prickly boggart and life totals are his 18 to my 13. i eventually get hearthcage and swing with everything then giant's ire for the win.

r2; br - g1 i have to mull and he goes druid into war-spike into dreamspoiler while i have jack. he inversions my harbinger to kill it and then has harasser and fodder launch for the win. g2 i go gilder into war-spike into harbinger while he goes druid into war-spike into fendeep summoner. i have axegrinder but then he drops rage forger and swings with his war-spike. i swing with everything and he blocks harbinger with summoner and i have a lash out to finish it off. rage forger and druid plus peppersmoke get rid of axegrinder. i throw ire at his face and draw a land and he pilferers back rage forger. i drop hearthcage and he drops moonglove. i swing with everything and shard his face ftw. g3 he's stuck on mana and discards a firebelly then eventually drops a scarblade elite to my war-spike. i swing, briarhorn war-spike, and then volley the elite. he drops frogtosser and then inversions my war-spike. i drop gametrail and he responds with moonglove. i have axegrinder and he has noggin whack then concedes.

r3; uw - i don't remember much. he had stuff like wizened cenn, cenn's heir, angler, trio, cricket, etc. took it in two due to some early hearthcages.

Draft 107 - 108 - SSS - LLM

i got caught double-qing when i wasn't planning on it. for some reason, modo's not saving my draft decks anymore. i drafted a pretty decent bg sss deck, but got wrecked by a lame mono r deck when my 11 swamps decided they'd hide.

here's my llm deck:

round one i play a really nice uw merfolk deck. he trounces me g1. g2 i get a thundercloud to deal with his dousers and then use galepowder to kill his team later. g3 i got a really fast start and took it home with a soulbright into trampling zealot.

round two i play a wg deck and the only thing i saw g1 was a reach of branches. galepowder made that moot, though. g2 i saw harrier, woodland, apothecary, and game trail. i go greatheart into sunflare into harbinger with bombardiers and banneret reinforce backup. he doesn't have anything to pull him out from my early lead and pump.

round three i played a really strong ub deck. i don't remember much other than in g3 i f4'd past a land drop. :/

Draft 106 - TPF

due to gcoolboy's vids on modosharks, i decided to rock a tpf.

round one i played daggr4, another modosharker. he was playing bgu i think and it went to a close 3. i f4d g2 t3 though and missed my drop. i think that game may have been different had i hit my drop. force is a house.

round two i played a wb deck. my deck was just way too slow to deal with him.

Draft 105 - SSS

was really worried about this draft. started of wu but blue kinda dried up quickly. pack 2 went blight, knight, tyrant, cinder so kinda went with that. i picked up a late grasp in case u opened up, but it never really did.


round one i play a fast gr deck. g1 goes juvenile, gloomwidow on his part. i wisp the juvenile and drop duo. he misses a land drop and casts susher, so i steel and bash. g2 looks almost the same. he has drove with shield on it and i have cohort and duo with steel. it's looking a little rough because his drove is like 6/6 or something. i rip a blight and that's about all she wrote.

round two i play a slow ub deck. i see stuff like gatewarden, macabre, wretch, infestation, cinderbones, and ghastlord. g1 i have an early noose and keep tapping stuff down. we ramp up and he drops wretch. i get to drop my ascension before he can make me discard it and end up having to dump steel and a wisp. he didn't have anything and i took him from there. g2 went long and he has out gatewarden, macabre, cinderbones, ripper, ghastlord and infestation. i have some 3/3s, noose, and a gatewarden of my own. i 'forget' to tap ghastlord so i can snare it and i eventually piece together a uw creature and steel.

round three i play a ur deck. g1 is an absolute blowout i have nothing to compete with his watchwings. g2 goes a little long, we both stall for a bit and he eventually gets power of fire on a watchwing. i blight his team and then next turn cinder the pof'd wing. pretty academic after that. g3 i mull to 5 but actually curve out. he drops pof on puresight merrow. he offs my duo and i swing with a hill giant and mist the merrow, so he pings me for two. i keep dropping stuff and he gets out a swarm and is hitting me pretty hard. i snare a newly helmed ub duo of his and things are looking up. i ascension a giant and get in but it's looking bad. he leaves a blocker for it and takes me low, but i rip my wisp ftw.

sideboarding: my opponents were always playing r or b, so i'd sub the second snare in for last breath. snare was definitely my mvp for the draft. then if they were playing black, i'd take out the black wisp for white.

Draft 104 - SSS


round one i play a wgu deck. g1 he plays stuff like firefox oak and oversoul. i have out a duo, wildslayers, and slinking giant. he doesn't really attack so i keep giving the duo forestwalk and kill him. g2 i get a ram-gang into defenses into tyrant and it's pretty backbreaking. then he tethers it and i'm like 'free tokens, yay'. then i get a ton more when it dies. i had considered casting medicine runner on it to get an extra token, but i immediately dismissed the idea as leading directly to madness. that game he played plains, forests, islands, and a mountain. crazy.

round two i play a monored deck. i go druid and he puncture bolts it. then i drop ram-gang into duo and then a grief tyrant. he has butcher, scuttlemutt, pyre charger, and burn trail for ram-gang. he kills tyrant with charger and i off the butcher and he doesn't block duo with scuttlemutt. i eventually drop a cohort and he concedes. g2 he gets a really good draw starting with initiate and i can'g do anything about it. g3 i start out with juvenile and power of fire which wrecks him. he has me fairly low though due to a runed redcap who i should've sacrificed my gloomwidow to but didn't. he has me to 3 and i realize he hasn't spent his burn trail. i ping the redcap and off it with jaws and start swinging with wildslayers and a duo. i then drop grief tyrant and he doesn't draw anything.

round three i play a really nice uw deck. g1 he trounces me pretty hard with cohort into silkbind and then prison terms my cohort. i make a stupid play mistake because i think that term's a movable pacifism and drop power of fire on the cohort. i have jaws but have like 2 mountains all game. g2 i get a really good start of cohort into ram-gang but he consigns it and then has repel intruders. he drops cohort and somnomancer and i'm just waiting to draw my mountain to cast ember gale and kill his entire board minus elite but it came the turn after i died.

unfortunately my dreams of swinging in with morselhoarder and mirrorweaving my team never took place.

Draft 103 - LLM


round one i play a wu merfolk deck. g1 goes really long but he ends up throwing away his judges and i get a ton of flyers and alchemist + avian on the board. g2 he has a douser and angler lock t3 and i die so bad. g3 i have a really quick start and he can't keep up.

round two i play a bw something deck. g1 he mulls to 5 and i destroy him seeing thorntooth witch, armaments, and ballyrush. g2 he has some removal but i keep dropping flyers and whelming back my 'trades' to take it.

round three i play a bg deck. g1 i mull to 5. i don't do too bad but he ends up getting a huntmaster and promenades out to like 10 tokens, which i just can't deal with. g2 i have him on the ropes and then walk into an ambush on my snipe and briarhorn :(. he's at 6 and i'm at 18 but he has scarblade, weirding, and weed strangle. i draw land and two drops.

Draft 102 - SSS


round one i played against a gw deck. he kinda had mana problems both games and i'd do stuff like mist his druid or grasp his scuttlemutt. witch really did a number on him g1 and g2 i had a blight for his wildslayer, whiteclay, and spriggan. he then drops gond on the whiteclay instead of bringing back spriggan so i torture it out and then drop ghastlord.

round two i played a uwg deck. g1 i wrecked him with a blight on silkbind, harpoonist, and medicine runner, then grasped his rider and discarded godhead. my dorks went all the way with mist backup. g2 i was manascrewed but it took forever for him to kill me. g3 i get a slow start and it was pretty close, but i was able to stabilize with dorks and removal and finish him off with an active witch and more creatures on the board.

round three i play against a gw deck. g1 he had mana trouble and i capitalized pretty well. g2 i thought i was in decent shape but he just had too much for me to deal with. g3 my deck functioned perfectly and i went ripper into lancer into tatterkite into ripper into duo. he blocked the rippers, but i had mist to save them. he couldn't do much with a toothless army against my evasion dudes.

what makes me sad is that i never got to play puppeteer clique to come out of nowhere and wreck someone.

round one g1 i have a 6-lander into 1-lander into 2-lander. my opponent goes druid into some big stuff and i never have a chance. g2 i have a decent hand with 2 land and don't draw another until after i'm dead. and then i have like 5 in a row on top of my deck.

didn't think this deck was very strong anyway, but seriously.

don't remember much. round one went easy.

round two was against a mono r deck and i took g1. g2 it was looking good but he dropped the br phyrexian arena thing and i couldn't get through his creature stall in time. had him g3, but i started lagging when i went to block and it undid my blocks. he eventually killed me with a dieflyn i was trying to block with my wingrattle. :(

Draft 99 - SSS


don't remember the rounds very well. i took round one without too much problem.

round two i played an idiot who was really bitter. he was playing RBu. g1 i have an awesome 1 lander and i don't draw any for like 5 turns. so dumb. g2 i blow him out of the water and when i puncture bolt on attack he's like 'just do it before combat you f.ucking slow rolling dork'. i'm like 'ok, sure'. g3 it's a pretty good game and we've pretty much stalled. i rip a witch and beat down. he's like 'go f.uck yourself' and i reply 'i'll go cry into my modo'.

round three i lose against a really nice deck. g1 his t2 infiltrators pretty much goes all the way after chaining me twice, consigning, and dropping glammer spinners for an awesome block. i don't even remember g2 but it was also a blowout.

Draft 98 - SSS


like an idiot i started off basically forcing br. i jumped into g late but should've done so much earlier. we'll see...

round one played against a monored deck? it was so slow, but i had to mull into a 5 card 1 lander. :( almost pulled it out, but not quite. same thing g2 except i actually do start to stabilize. he drops a demigod and i have out a juvenile gloomwidow and can conspire blessing on it. he drops a bunch more stuff but never attacks. i'm matching creatures though and he's not blocking my gouger. eventually i'm at 6 and he's at 14. i rip my gale, count my dudes up, and attack for exactly 14. g3 i brutalize him with initiate into gouger and then drop cultbrand and runes on gouger. he doesn't have anything to off the gouger and i thin what little team he has away.

round two get wrecked by a ug deck that had whimwader to hold the ground and stuff like wretch and korrigan. oh, and blight both times when he needed it. *shrug*

Draft 97 - SSS


played a fast uw deck. g1 he takes me pretty quickly. g2 i decimate his team of watchwing, u cohort, and three procession tokens by scarring something. then he drops raptor and mirrorweaves for the attack, i kill the raptor by double-blocking but he goes up to 32. he drops a ghastbark and follows up with godhead. i burn trail awe and conspire targeting my redcap. that offs his team and i come back for the win. g3 he has a fast start and i just can't get going.

i guess i maybe should've prioritized scars, etc.

Draft 96 - SSS


i feel pretty good about this draft. i think the deck could be stronger, but i started out looking at blue and switched into rb properly.

round one i play another br deck, the majority of which is initiates and duos along with dieflyn, butcher, the br 1/1 that taps to give haste. g1 the biggest creature he has is a cultbrand. he never really recovers from my t3 gouger. g2 i go initiate into cohort into arsonists and get in for a ton. then he locks up the ground and lets me chip with the macabre. javelin puts it away.

round two g1 i'm playing a uw deck that consigns my ram-gang and then aethertows it and my cohort. he then gets ascension on his duo and drops sygg and i just can't come back from that. g2 was INSANE. i go witch, gouger, ram-gang. he has out a ballynock cohort but can only chump the gang and gouger. then he drops duo to pump the cohort, and i have gale to wreck his day. next turn i go for the win and he blocks two and then goes to bounce the gouger. i manamorphose for two black and do the last two to him. g3 he goes mistmeadow witch into steel and i have nothing going. i hung on for a while and could've burn trailed/javelined it a couple times had i drawn them. i actually had more than enough mana for jaws at the end. oh well...

Draft 95 - SSS



round one i played a ugw deck. it seemed fairly bleh, really.

round two i played against a ub deck with gloomlance, corrupt, witch, redcap, silkbind, etc. went to 3 but just as i'm stabilizing he drops a whimwader which i have to double block. he lances my warcrawler and hits for 8 with witch and redcap, then corrupts my scrapbasket. *shrug*

Draft 94 - SSS


r1 i play a uw deck. g1 i see elite, spectral procession, 2 aethertow, repel intruders, 2 balloonists, and raptor. i don't remember the game much but we're pinging away. he has tokens in the air and then i drop gloomwidow. he drops raptors and it looks bad but i rip a steel and drop it on a duo and am gaining a little less than i'm loosing. i get two cohorts out and he ends up losing. g2 i get a quick oversoul to match his ascensioned token and then snared it when he double-blocked with it and cervin rider. that was pretty much it.

r2 i play a ub deck. g1 i have a tremendously fast start with initiate, somnomancer, spriggan, and dragoons. unfortunately he has the blight to make up for it. g2 i get a similar start and he has nothing. g3 he goes cohort into silkbind and i take my 3-lander and draw mostly land over the subsequent turns. he drops a grief tyrant and i look bitterly at the snare in my hand.
