Draft 68 - LLM

this draft was a little iffy for a while. i go p1 profane, p2 aethersnipe, p3 douser, p4 hero. pack 2 i get the blue hookup and see some ok black come around so decide for that rather than pick up, say, plover knights. p3 i get pretty decent stuff and i'm feeling much better:


round one i played a wru deck playing nova chaser and supreme exemplar with some cheap goblins and elementals and caterwauling boggart. g1 i hit his hand and saw what was up and took a cheap elemental for his champions. he got an exemplar down but even thought i was mana light i had angler to tap it. i drew into lands and dropped some flashed flyers and that was it. g2 he was screwed and i put it away pretty easily.

round two i played a ub faerie deck. i got a nuts draw of blackguard into dewdrop into thieving. i held back because i didn't want to lose dudes because he had out fencer clique with cloak. not much else, though, but i saw some spiderwigs. eventually i get out a aquitects and douser. he kills douser but i get out ink dissolver and islandwalk like a champ. g2 he mulls to oblivion. i mull from a 1 land into a 1 spell, angler. i think it might be good enough, considering, and go from angler into aquitects into sentinels. he has boggart loggers and then later a turtleshell. he ends up dropping a blackguard to chump, but it's too much at that point. i have anglers, 2x aquitects, sentinels, turtleshell, and a ruse in hand.

round three i played an insane mono g deck with vanquisher, woodlands, bowmasters, ambassadors, packmaster, battlewand, and two incremental growths. g1 i held on for a bit but his early bowmaster and incremental growth wrecked my draw of mostly faeries. g2 i didn't draw a third land the entire game. he bounced one with primal command and then i checked my deck. it was like turn 15 or something. oh well, them's the breaks.
