round 1 played a pretty good gb elves deck. g1 i keep a really horrible hand of lash out, arbiter, and balloonists. he doesn't have a play until t3 of branchbender, so i get impatient and lash it out. i push a mountain to the bottom and he shows scarblade. i draw greatheart and follow up next turn with a firebelly. he drops perfect and i know i'm all but done. he doesn't block into my surge so i drop hero on my firebelly. then he casts archers; so much for ballooning my hero over. i get him to 9 with a surge and pump myself up to 25. he's swinging with a real army, though and i have nothing. i could arbiter myself up to 9 from 6, but i'm dead anyway. g2 starts off much better. i go first and he mulligans. i drop stinkdrinker into brion while he misses his third land drop and then plays gilder t4. i drop hero onto stinkdrinker cause i'm at 5 mana and he taps and untaps making me think something's up. i attack with only the hero and then harbinger for greatheart. he drops admirers and i lash out precombat to a fistful; i should've done it eot. regardless, he's dead as i swing both hero and harbinger in, drop blades, then sac hero with brion. g3 i play again and he mulligans. i go greatheart and he follows with gilder. next turn i drop stinkdrinker and he drops admirers. i berzerker stinkdrinker and attack all in, surging to kill his admirers and keep everything. he drops woodland changeling and i attack, lashing out changeling when he double blocks then drop stalwart. he casts another changeling and recurs admirers. i drop wizened and attack with everything; he endings my greatheart and blocks my berzerker, so i triclopean sight my stalwart for the final 4.

round 2 i played against a really solid uw merfolk deck. g1 i go stalwart and he responds with angler. he then drops aquitects and i cast stinkdrinker. he casts summon the school. i attack in and ruin his blocks with surge; he recurs school. he recasts and i drop berzerker on stalwart. he lets a token die before recurring, then i drop harbinger for brion. he bounces harbinger after surge and i recast getting hero. then i drop hero on stinkdrinker and brion. i swing and let hero's damage stack before using brion. and drop oaf. that's game. g2 i get a hand with greatheart, firebelly, and ajani but no mountains. i keep and drop greatheart. he drops reejery and i respond with harbinger for wizened cenn. he drops aquitects and i drop wizened. i drop changeling hero on harbinger and he crib swaps it, i tutor for balloonists, and he casts another aquitects. i finally get out the firebelly and drop the balloonists. he whelms the balloonists revealing ajani and i keep rather than sending to bottom. he then casts summon the school and i drop ajani, pump, and swing. he attacks ajani and i cast my other, pump, and swing. i get him to seven and swing. he double blocks my dudes and i blades to kill a ton of creatures. i drop ballonists and hope to draw a giant for the win, but he has wings on an unblocked creature for the win. g3 i have a shady hand but keep. i go wizened then greatheart while he has aquitects. i'm stalled on three plains, though. he blocks and i don't review his mana so i lash out his aquitects when i could've blades'd and avoided the trickery :(. he drops angler and i cast harbinger for brion. he drops reejerey and i hero the harbinger. he then drops benthicore and it's looking bad for me. instead of dropping brion, i go for berzerker on hero tricks for crush. i get brion down and he has cribswap anyway. and there's not much i can do to come back from the board he has.
